Hybrid Power Solutions Secures First Purchase Order from Defense Contractor, Joins Arizona Transportation Roadshow

Hybrid Power Solutions Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of portable and fuel-free power solutions, announced it has received an initial purchase order on January 5, 2026, from a leading global provider of AI-based security, drone protection, and drone deployment systems for public safety agencies and defense. The order is for a trial unit of the company's Batt Pack Energy portable power system, which will be evaluated for use in field operations requiring reliable, low-signature power.

The customer develops advanced technology platforms including body-worn cameras, in-car video systems, energy devices, and cloud-based evidence management tools for law enforcement, military, corrections, fire, EMS, and other public safety organizations. The Batt Pack Energy, a high-capacity portable battery-based solution, offers quiet, emission-free, and modular operation as an alternative to traditional fuel generators. The trial will assess its performance in powering equipment and supporting mission-critical activities in remote or off-grid environments.

Francois Byrne, CEO of Hybrid Power Solutions, stated that the purchase order represents a significant step into the public safety, defense, and law enforcement technology sector. He noted that the customer's commitment to innovation aligns with Hybrid's mission to deliver clean, reliable power solutions that reduce operational noise, fuel logistics, and emissions. The choice to trial the Batt Pack Energy was driven by its innovative capabilities and the flexibility to add key features specific to the customer. Canadian manufacturing and a robust supply chain were essential to the purchasing decision.

Following successful completion of the trial and internal approval processes, the engagement may lead to a follow-on purchase program of up to 500-600 units over the next 18 months. However, there is no assurance that such an order will be received. The customer's identity will be released upon their approval after trials are completed.

In addition, Hybrid Power Solutions announced its participation as one of ten selected Canadian innovative transportation and mobility companies in the Arizona Transportation Roadshow, taking place January 20-23, 2026, in Greater Phoenix. Organized by the Trade Commissioner Service in partnership with Global Ties Arizona, the roadshow will facilitate targeted meetings, industry roundtables, and networking sessions with key public- and private-sector leaders in Arizona's transportation, logistics, and infrastructure ecosystem. Highlights include panels on multimodal transportation, site visits to facilities like COSIC LLC and Mesa Gateway Airport, engagements with cities such as Phoenix, Mesa, Avondale, and Surprise, and a targeted B2B meeting with Arizona Public Service to explore collaboration opportunities in clean energy and sustainable power solutions for utility and infrastructure applications.

Byrne added that the roadshow provides an excellent platform to showcase fuel-free power technologies to decision-makers in one of North America's fastest-growing mobility hubs, and the company looks forward to building partnerships that advance sustainable transportation and infrastructure initiatives across the U.S.-Canada border.

The Batt Pack Energy provides robust power delivery in a compact, rugged design, making it suitable for powering sensitive electronics, extended field deployments, and operations where quiet and low-emission performance are priorities. Hybrid Power Solutions looks forward to collaborating with the customer throughout the trial period and exploring opportunities for broader integration of its portable power systems into public safety ecosystems, while leveraging insights from the Arizona Roadshow to drive further market expansion.
