The Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) has announced the finalists for the 2026 HPRA ¡BRAVO! Awards, recognizing outstanding campaigns and agencies that advance excellence in Hispanic multicultural communications nationwide. Winners will be revealed on Nov. 19, 2026, at the LA River Center and Gardens in Los Angeles—a symbolic return to the city where HPRA was founded more than four decades ago. This year’s theme, “Legacy in Motion,” underscores both the organization’s history and its ongoing evolution through new generations of communicators.
The significance of this announcement extends beyond the list of finalists. It signals the growing sophistication and influence of Hispanic-focused campaigns across industries. With work spanning 11 categories—from Digital or Media Platform PR to Social Equity and Sports—the finalists demonstrate how brands, agencies, and nonprofits are investing in culturally fluent storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences. The recognition comes at a time when authentic representation in media and marketing is not just a moral imperative but a business necessity, as the U.S. Hispanic population continues to shape consumer trends and cultural narratives.
HPRA National President Sonia V. Diaz emphasized the deeper meaning of this year’s theme: “Legacy is not something we simply inherit or leave behind. It is something we put into motion through the choices we make, the stories we tell and the opportunities we create for others.” She noted that 42 years ago, Latino communications professionals in Los Angeles came together because representation would not happen on its own. “As we return to Los Angeles this year, we are honoring what they started while celebrating a new generation that continues to challenge our industry, expand our stories and move us closer to the representation and parity our community deserves.”
The finalist campaigns reflect this forward momentum. They include efforts such as Amazon Devices 2025: Bringing the Future of AI-Powered Living to U.S. Hispanic Audiences by Twin Minds Media; Microsoft’s Abuela-Approved AI with BODEN Agency; and Buchanan’s Whisky Creates First-Ever FIFA World Cup Spirit Collection With Kids of Immigrants by HUNTER. Other notable entries range from Telemundo’s Velvet El Nuevo Imperio to Goya Gives Day: Celebrating 90 Years of Goya Foods by bluePRint Communications. These campaigns illustrate how brands are moving beyond translation to create culturally rooted experiences that drive engagement and loyalty.
The awards also serve as a benchmark for industry standards. Campaigns launched between Jan. 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, were eligible, and finalists were selected after evaluation by an independent panel of senior communications professionals. Each submission was scored on a 1-5 scale across ten pillars, including strategy, creativity, and outcomes. This rigorous process ensures that the recognition reflects measurable impact and innovation.
For those interested in attending, individual tickets and tables are available for purchase. More information can be found at bravo.hprausa.org. The event not only celebrates current achievements but also sets the stage for future leaders, as HPRA will announce individual honorees separately in the coming weeks. These honorees, spanning communications, media, entertainment, and culture, embody the continuum of progress that the ¡BRAVO! Awards seek to champion.
As the communications landscape becomes increasingly multicultural, HPRA’s role in spotlighting excellence is more critical than ever. The 2026 ¡BRAVO! Awards not only honor the legacy of Hispanic public relations but also propel it forward, ensuring that diverse voices continue to shape the stories that matter.
