The 52nd HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, the 17th HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, and the 24th Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair opened today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, running through January 15. Jointly organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the three fairs have attracted more than 2,600 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions, including new participants from Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Norway. The HKTDC has organized over 200 buyer missions from more than 40 countries and regions to attend, including major e-commerce platforms, importers, department stores, and specialty retailers.
This year's fairs debut the new "Pop & Play" pavilion, open to both trade buyers and the public, showcasing some 150 famous local and international IPs such as B.Duck, Hot Toys, LAURA, and threezero. The pavilion features fair premieres and global limited-edition collectibles, including MOMOLAND's debut dolls, TUTU MOKEY collectible figurines limited to 100 pieces, and CM Concepts' Mazinger Z Playing Cards limited to 1,500 sets. The Kidult World in Hall 3E also showcases toys for adults, including NARUTO Collectible Metal Keychains and officially licensed Transformers model kits.
Several product trends are emerging at the fairs, including the growing "kidult" and toy collecting markets, which are injecting strong growth into the industry. The new "Happy Ageing" label is introduced to help buyers identify toys for seniors, addressing global ageing populations. Over 40 exhibitors adopt the label, showcasing products like companion plush toys and DIY Flip Monster from Taiwan. Sustainable products are also in focus, with more than 400 exhibitors displaying the "Green Solutions" label, an increase of about 10% compared to 2025. The Green Toys zone features items like Beach Life OBP Material Beach Funnel Set made from ocean-bound plastic.
Educational toys that combine learning and play are driving demand, with exhibitors showcasing Canadarm toys and 2-in-1 Digital Microscope & Telescope. Korean film and TV-related products, such as KPop Demon Hunters and Pinkfong Baby Shark Alphabet Learning Bus, are also gaining traction. The "Pop & Play" pavilion includes interactive activities, photo opportunities, and autograph sessions with renowned artists like b.wing, Kenny Wong, and Steven Choi. A key seminar on January 14, titled "Explosive Growth of IP Economy: from Local Success to Global Reach," will feature speakers from Alibaba 1688 and Nikopicto Limited.
The fairs also feature the Asia Toys & Games Forum on January 13, with speakers from Euromonitor International, Disney Consumer Products, and SGS Hong Kong Limited. The Baby Products Fair has expanded its World of Strollers and Gear and ODM Strollers and Gear zones, hosting approximately 230 exhibitors. The Stationery & School Supplies Fair welcomes New Zealand exhibitors for the first time, showcasing optical magnifiers and premium brands like AP, ChungHwa, and SUPERDOTS. Under the EXHIBITION+ model, the fairs combine physical exhibitions with the Click2Match smart-matching platform, accessible from January 5 to 22, and the Scan2Match function for building business connections.
