HONG KONG — The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to stage four flagship technology fairs in October 2026, drawing some 6,200 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions. The concurrent events—the 46th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), the 29th electronicAsia, the 11th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, and the 28th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition)—will showcase cutting-edge solutions spanning consumer electronics, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, future industries, smart lighting and smart city applications.
The significance of the fairs extends beyond their scale. They arrive as the Hong Kong SAR Government's latest Policy Address and first Five-Year Plan underscore the importance of consolidating Hong Kong's status as an international trade centre and accelerating its development into an international innovation and technology (I&T) hub. At a press conference, HKTDC Associate Executive Director Silas Chu said the council is introducing new elements, including a Future Industries Zone at the Autumn Electronics Fair and expanded showcases for AI and robotics, to help companies connect with funding, talent, technology and international markets. A dedicated GoGlobal Connect Zone will provide advisory services to encourage more Chinese Mainland enterprises to use Hong Kong as a platform for global expansion.
The Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia, running concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13 to 16 October, will bring together over 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions. The new Future Industries Zone, supported by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau and jointly organised with the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, will focus on five themes: Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics and Future Wellness. More than 100 exhibitors, including Lenovo, AV Concept and GP Energy Tech, will present innovations. The zone will also host the Top 100 Future Industries Pioneer List and a start-up pitching competition.
AI and robotics will be a major draw. The fair will showcase more than 120 robots, primarily in RoboPark, demonstrating applications across commercial services, industrial logistics, entertainment and healthcare. Exhibitors include AgiBot, the world's leading humanoid robot manufacturer by shipment volume in the first half of 2026, as well as Shenzhen Honor Smart Technology, Booster Robotics and UBTECH. Interactive experiences such as a RoboDog Garden and a robot football exhibition will allow visitors to see the technology in action.
The twin lighting fairs, under the theme “Beyond Illumination,” will bring together some 3,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions. The Autumn Lighting Fair at the HKCEC from 27 to 30 October will feature the Hall of Connected Lighting with over 60 leading brands, including Signify, Casambi and TUYA. A new LED Display Solution Zone will cover commercial LED display ecosystems. The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo at AsiaWorld-Expo from 26 to 29 October will focus on smart city lighting, with exhibitor Fonda Technology showcasing its AIoT Cloud Platform; approximately 70,000 smart streetlight control devices have already been deployed in Hong Kong's New Territories West.
The fairs will adopt the HKTDC's EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, combining physical and online participation. Online exhibitions for the electronics fairs will run from 6 to 23 October, while the lighting fairs' online editions will be available from 19 October to 6 November.
