Following a successful promotional tour in Miami during eMerge Americas, Gateway Summit Málaga is set to return on October 1 and 2 at the Málaga Cruise Terminal. In an exclusive interview, César Caballero, Coordinator of Gateway Summit, highlighted the positive reception in Miami. "What we noticed in Miami is a massive interest in discovering new innovation hubs outside traditional markets," he said. The trip resulted in strategic collaboration agreements and commitments from U.S. and Latin American investors to explore opportunities in Europe.
The summit's unique airport-inspired concept includes the "Pitching Runway," where 10 finalist startups pitch directly to investors, and "Takeoff Talks." The agenda covers key tech trends such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, and healthtech, with a strong emphasis on investment. A new initiative will bring together around 20 investors to demystify how startups are evaluated, offering a behind-the-scenes look at investment decisions.
Prominent speakers include executives from Mastercard, Renault, and Indra discussing connected vehicles, while PLD Space will cover space technology. Metricool will address AI applications, and Markus Gotthard will deliver a keynote on drones and energy resilience. Representatives from Cisco, Reental, and Bolt will also participate, with more announcements expected.
