Fulcrum Group Partners with CyberQP to Strengthen CJIS Compliance for DFW Public Safety IT Systems

The Fulcrum Group, a managed IT services provider based in Keller, Texas, has announced a partnership with CyberQP, a developer of cybersecurity solutions, to bolster Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance for public safety and municipal clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The collaboration will deploy CyberQP's QGuard and QDesk solutions, targeting enhanced security for service accounts and streamlined IT support processes.

According to Steve Meek, CEO of The Fulcrum Group, the partnership addresses new requirements in CJIS Security Policy version 6.0, which imposes stricter security standards for law enforcement and justice organizations. "By combining our STARpower IT framework with CyberQP's automation tools, we're not just meeting those requirements—we're improving protection for service accounts and accelerating response times for sensitive requests," Meek said.

The Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report highlights service accounts as a common attack vector due to weak or unmanaged credentials. The new capabilities include automated password rotation, real-time auditing, and stronger protection against insider and external threats. Additionally, identity-verified processes will secure critical access requests, such as password resets for field personnel and patrol units.

Mateo Barraza, CEO of CyberQP, emphasized the importance of CJIS compliance beyond mere checkbox exercises. "CJIS compliance isn't just about checking a box—it's about delivering real-world security that stands up to today's threats. Our platform empowers IT providers like Fulcrum to deliver secure, efficient service while giving public safety organizations the protection they deserve," Barraza said.

The Fulcrum Group, which serves healthcare, manufacturing, local government, and nonprofits, has over 20 years of experience in managed IT services. CyberQP, backed by SOC 2 Type 2 certification, offers Privileged Access Management and End-User Access Management solutions. More information about CyberQP can be found at www.cyberqp.com.

This initiative reinforces The Fulcrum Group's mission to provide "One Technology Solution: Yours," delivering peace of mind through security, compliance, and responsive IT support. The partnership aims to help public safety organizations meet CJIS requirements while making secure access simpler and faster, without sacrificing protection.
