Fitzroy Minerals Reports Wide, Shallow Copper Mineralization at Buen Retiro, Chile

Fitzroy Minerals Inc. (TSXV: FTZ, OTCQX: FTZFF, FSE: C3Y) has released results from 15 drill holes at the Tenorita area of the Buen Retiro Copper Project in Copiapo, Chile. The drilling highlights wide intervals of shallow, leachable copper mineralization, with the best intercept returning 111.9 meters at 0.97% copper from 21.1 meters depth, including higher-grade sections.

The company is operating four drill rigs at the project, with three diamond drills and one reverse circulation rig. The Tenorita area, a 1.7-kilometer trend southwest of the historical Manto Negro open pit, is the focus of ongoing definition drilling. Drill hole BRT-DDH072 returned 111.9 meters at 0.97% copper, including 18 meters at 1.59% copper. Drill hole BRT-DDH070 intersected 147.7 meters at 0.41% copper, including 47 meters at 0.88% copper. These results confirm consistent shallow mineralization across approximately 300 meters in the widest part of the Tenorita area.

Fitzroy plans to complete an additional 9,000 meters of drilling in 2026, aiming to advance the Tenorita area to Measured, Indicated, and Inferred resource categories to support a robust mine life for a Pre-Feasibility Study. The drilling program also targets defining Inferred resources elsewhere on the property and testing new exploration targets.

The company has implemented rigorous quality assurance and quality control procedures, including the insertion of blanks, standards, and duplicates. All assay results have been reviewed by the qualified person, Dr. Scott Jobin-Bevans, who confirmed no significant issues.
