FingerMotion Completes Strategic Investment in Lyken.AI, Paving Way for Enterprise Compute Expansion

FingerMotion Inc. (NASDAQ: FNGR) has completed its acquisition of a 9.9% interest in Lyken AI Computing Inc. (Lyken.AI) from Alset AI Ventures Inc. (TSXV: GPUS), following approval from the TSX Venture Exchange. The transaction involved the exchange of 99,000 Lyken common shares for 1,674,480 restricted FingerMotion common shares, with no cash consideration paid at closing. Alset AI retains a 90.1% stake in Lyken.

This move signifies FingerMotion's formal entry into the enterprise computing market, a strategic step in its broader plan to establish a recurring-revenue enterprise compute business alongside its existing mobile data and telecommunications operations. The company intends to treat enterprise compute as a distinct, scalable business line and may increase its participation in Lyken and its underlying infrastructure, subject to commercial performance, capital availability, and regulatory requirements.

The investment aligns with FingerMotion's vision of evolving into a technology company with diverse revenue streams. By leveraging Lyken.AI's capabilities in AI computing, FingerMotion aims to tap into the growing demand for enterprise compute solutions, which are essential for AI model training and deployment. This could position the company to capitalize on the increasing adoption of AI across industries.

FingerMotion's core business focuses on mobile payment and recharge platform solutions in China. As its user base continues to grow, the company is developing additional value-added technologies to market to its users. The enterprise compute venture represents a significant diversification, potentially reducing reliance on its traditional mobile services and opening new avenues for growth.

The completion of this investment comes at a time when the enterprise compute market is experiencing rapid expansion, driven by the proliferation of AI and data-intensive applications. By partnering with Lyken.AI, FingerMotion gains exposure to this high-growth sector without the need for substantial upfront capital expenditure. The structure of the deal, involving a stock swap, also preserves cash for other strategic initiatives.

For Alset AI, the transaction provides an opportunity to monetize a portion of its stake in Lyken while retaining majority control. The partnership with FingerMotion could also bring synergies, as FingerMotion's established presence in the Chinese market might facilitate Lyken's expansion in the region.

Investors will be watching to see how FingerMotion integrates this new business line and whether it can generate the anticipated recurring revenue. The company's ability to scale its enterprise compute offerings will be crucial in determining the success of this venture. With the enterprise compute market projected to grow significantly in the coming years, FingerMotion's early entry could prove advantageous.
