FingerMotion Acquires 9.9% Stake in Lyken.AI, Signaling Entry into Enterprise Computing

FingerMotion Inc. (NASDAQ: FNGR) has announced a strategic agreement to acquire a 9.9% stake in Lyken AI Computing Inc., operating as Lyken.AI, from Alset AI Ventures (TSXV: GPUS; OTCQB: GPUSF; FSE: 1R60). The transaction, valued at $500,000 in FingerMotion common stock, is subject to TSXV approval on behalf of Alset AI. This move marks FingerMotion's entry into the enterprise computing market, a significant diversification from its core mobile data and telecommunications operations in China.

The acquisition is the first step in a broader strategy to build a recurring-revenue enterprise compute business. No cash consideration is payable at closing, and Alset AI is expected to retain a 90.1% interest in Lyken. FingerMotion intends to leverage Lyken's existing ecosystem, which includes partnerships with NVIDIA, Dell Technologies Canada, and established data-center providers, to offer a comprehensive enterprise solution encompassing GPU and cloud compute capacity, secure storage, private low-latency networking, and deployment support.

This strategic pivot is noteworthy for investors as it positions FingerMotion to tap into the rapidly growing demand for high-performance computing, particularly in AI and data-intensive applications. By entering the enterprise compute market, FingerMotion aims to diversify its revenue streams and reduce its reliance on the telecommunications sector, which is subject to regulatory and market fluctuations in China.

The company plans to pursue enterprise compute as a distinct scalable business and may seek to increase its participation in Lyken and its underlying infrastructure over time, subject to commercial performance, capital availability, and applicable regulatory and exchange requirements. This indicates a long-term commitment to the sector and a willingness to expand its footprint as opportunities arise.

FingerMotion's core business remains its mobile payment and recharge platform solutions in China, with a vision to serve over 1 billion users. The company believes that the growth of its user base will lead to a highly engaged ecosystem, which it can leverage to onboard larger customer bases. The addition of enterprise compute services could provide a new avenue for growth, potentially appealing to both individual and business customers.

The acquisition also highlights the growing trend of technology companies diversifying into infrastructure and compute services, driven by the increasing demand for AI and cloud solutions. FingerMotion's move aligns with this trend, positioning it to capitalize on the digital transformation sweeping across industries.
