Fashion Hong Kong Showcases 'Hong Kong Dopamine' at CENTRESTAGE 2026

The Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show, a highlight of Asia's annual fashion extravaganza CENTRESTAGE, took place last night, presenting the Spring/Summer 2027 collections of four prominent local labels: 112 mountainyam, ANGUS TSUI, ARTY:ACTIVE, and Z I D I. Under the theme 'Hong Kong Dopamine', the designers drew inspiration from the city's lights and shadows, streets, architecture, cultural memories, and daily flow, translating Hong Kong's unique pulse into a fashion language. Each collection offered a distinct interpretation of dopamine—ranging from joy and dark humor to dynamics and lightness of defiance—delivering a sensory experience brimming with urban energy.

The show drew enthusiastic acclaim from industry professionals, celebrities, and fashion enthusiasts, with luminaries such as Kay Tse, Kevin Chu, Tony Wu, Locker Lam, and Jessica Chan in attendance. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, CENTRESTAGE is now in full swing, running until 5 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Concurrently, the 45th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the 14th Salon de TIME, jointly organized by the HKTDC, the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd., and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd., are also being held at the same venue. All three events will run until 5 September. CENTRESTAGE and Salon de TIME are open to both trade buyers and the general public, while the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is open exclusively to trade visitors.

The event underscores the importance of Hong Kong's fashion industry as a global hub. With the HKTDC celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, the organization continues to promote Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub. The Fashion Hong Kong series, which began in 2015, has actively participated in international fashion weeks in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Copenhagen, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tokyo, and Seoul, showcasing the city's unique and diversified designers.

The 'Hong Kong Dopamine' theme reflects a broader trend in fashion towards emotional and sensory engagement. By tapping into the city's vibrant energy, these designers are not only presenting clothing but also an experience that resonates with the global audience. This approach aligns with the creative industries' push for innovation and cultural expression, reinforcing Hong Kong's positioning as Asia's creative capital.

As CENTRESTAGE continues, it provides a platform for emerging and established designers to connect with international buyers and media. The event's significance extends beyond the runway, fostering cross-sectoral collaboration and promoting the industrialization of the arts and culture.
