Fairchild Gold Corp. (TSX-V: FAIR; OTCQB: FCHDF; Frankfurt: Y4Y) has taken a significant step toward expanding the known mineralization at its Golden Arrow Gold-Silver Project in Nye County, Nevada. The company announced that it has engaged TerraEye to conduct a property-wide satellite-based spectral mapping and structural interpretation program. This initiative is designed to evaluate mineralogical and alteration signatures across the entire property, with a particular focus on underexplored areas beyond the established Gold Coin and Hidden Hill deposits and around historic mine workings.
The program will utilize a combination of satellite spectral analysis, image enhancement, structural lineament interpretation, and AI-assisted pattern recognition. These advanced techniques are intended to identify subtle geological features that may indicate the presence of mineralization. By integrating TerraEye’s results with Fairchild’s existing geological, geochemical, geophysical, and historical datasets, the company aims to refine exploration targets and prioritize areas for field follow-up.
The Golden Arrow project currently hosts a NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate of approximately 295,000 ounces of gold and 4.36 million ounces of silver in the measured and indicated categories at Gold Coin and Hidden Hill, with additional inferred resources. More than 61,000 meters of historical drilling has been completed at the project, primarily concentrated around these two known deposits. However, the property spans a much larger area, and the company believes that significant potential remains untapped.
"This engagement marks a pivotal moment for Golden Arrow," said a company spokesperson. "By leveraging TerraEye's expertise in satellite-based exploration, we can efficiently assess the broader property and identify high-priority targets that may have been overlooked by previous operators."
Fairchild plans to use the results of the TerraEye program to guide future exploration efforts, with the final technical report currently scheduled for late October 2026. This timeline suggests a methodical approach to exploration, allowing ample time for data analysis and target generation before any drilling campaigns are initiated.
The decision to employ advanced remote sensing technology comes at a time when the mining industry is increasingly turning to innovative methods to reduce exploration costs and improve success rates. Satellite-based spectral mapping can cover vast areas quickly and cost-effectively, making it an attractive option for companies with large land positions.
Fairchild Gold is a Nevada-focused mineral exploration and development company with a portfolio of three complementary assets: Nevada Titan, Golden Arrow, and Carlin Queen. Nevada Titan is the company's flagship high-impact copper-gold exploration project in the historic Goodsprings Mining District. Golden Arrow provides an established open-pit gold-silver resource within the prolific Walker Lane mineral belt, while Carlin Queen offers additional gold-silver exploration exposure near the intersection of the Carlin and Midas-Hollister mineral trends.
This exploration program underscores Fairchild's commitment to maximizing the value of its Golden Arrow project. By expanding the resource base and identifying new drill targets, the company could significantly enhance the project's economics. For investors, this development signals a proactive approach to growth and a potential catalyst for future resource expansion.
