Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX-V: EAU | OTC: EGMLF | WKN: A3EEVJ) has mobilized crews, supplies, and equipment to its 100% owned Engineer Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia, marking the start of camp rehabilitation at both the Engineer Mine and TAG project sites. The camps, which are fully constructed and have been idle since 2009 (TAG) and 2021 (Engineer), will be re-established to support an expanded 2026 exploration program, as detailed in the company's July 28, 2026 news release.

The decision to rehabilitate existing infrastructure rather than build new camps provides a significant operational and financial advantage. President and CEO Spiro Kletas emphasized this benefit, stating, "The fact that both camps are already in place, built and paid for, is an enormous advantage for Engineer Gold Mines and our shareholders. This will allow the Company to have full teams at both sites very shortly and will enable the Company to expedite our exploration programs." This strategic move reduces upfront capital expenditures and accelerates the timeline for deploying exploration crews.

The Engineer Gold Project encompasses approximately 18,319 hectares and includes three principal target areas: the historic Engineer Gold Mine, the TAG Property, and the Wann River prospect. The Engineer Gold Mine is a past-producing underground gold-silver operation with historical production between 1910 and 1952 totaling approximately 14,263 tonnes grading 39.4 g/t gold and 19.5 g/t silver (BC Minfile 104M014). A historical Inferred Mineral Resource, completed in 2011 and updated in 2018, estimated 25,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 19 g/t (based on a 5.0 g/t gold cut-off) for the Engineer and Double Decker veins alone (Snowden, 2011; O'Brien et al., 2018, available on SEDAR+).

The TAG Property, located six kilometres north of the Engineer Mine, is associated with a six-kilometre-long structurally controlled mineralized system related to splays off the Llewellyn Fault. Historical diamond drilling has returned significant intervals, including hole TAG06-23 which assayed 1.7 g/t Au and 5.1 g/t Ag over 26.7 metres (including 3.52 g/t Au over 4.7 metres), and hole TAG08-59 which assayed 1.5 g/t Au and 8.05 g/t Ag over 42.1 metres (Fekete and Simper, 2009; Fekete and Skinner, 2007; ARIS reports #30931 and #29581).

The Wann River prospect, situated four kilometres south of the Engineer Mine, represents an underexplored orogenic gold target along the Llewellyn Fault. Surface sampling has returned high-grade results, including a quartz grab sample of 263 g/t gold and 1,350 g/t silver from the Lum showing (Aspinall, 2011; ARIS Report #32004). Historic drilling in 2011 also intercepted significant mineralization, such as hole WR030211 which assayed 11.3 g/t Au and 76.2 g/t Ag over one metre (Aspinall, 2011; BC ARIS Report #32478).

The rehabilitation of the camps is a critical step in advancing these high-potential targets. By having operational bases ready, Engineer Gold Mines can promptly conduct comprehensive exploration, including diamond drilling, surface sampling, and geological mapping, to further define mineral resources and potentially expand known mineralization. This initiative aligns with the company's commitment to creating shareholder value through efficient and effective exploration of its British Columbia assets.
