Energy Fuels Inc. (NYSE American: UUUU) (TSX: EFR) announced that it exceeded previously disclosed guidance for finished uranium production, mined uranium ore production, and uranium concentrate sales for fiscal year 2025, reflecting a successful ramp-up at its U.S. uranium mines and production facilities. The company reported that its Pinyon Plain Mine in Arizona and La Sal Complex in Utah mined more than 1.6 million pounds of uranium during the year, while its White Mesa Mill in Utah produced over one million pounds of finished U3O8, surpassing the high end of prior guidance. This performance strengthens Energy Fuels' position as the largest U.S. uranium producer and advances its rare earth element and critical materials initiatives.
The achievement underscores the importance of domestic uranium production for energy security and the nuclear fuel supply chain. As the only fully licensed and operating conventional uranium processing facility in the United States, the White Mesa Mill plays a critical role in producing natural uranium concentrate, which is sold to nuclear utilities for carbon-free nuclear energy generation. Energy Fuels also produces advanced rare earth element products at the mill and evaluates the recovery of medical isotopes for Targeted Alpha Therapy cancer treatments.
Beyond uranium, Energy Fuels is developing heavy mineral sands projects, including the Toliara Project in Madagascar, the Bahia Project in Brazil, and the Donald Project in Australia, where it has the right to earn up to a 49% interest in a joint venture with Astron Corporation Limited. These efforts align with broader U.S. goals to reduce reliance on foreign sources for critical minerals. For more details, the full press release is available at https://ibn.fm/TE9vY.
