Dinari Inc., the pioneer of the custodial model of tokenized U.S. public equities, and tZERO Group, Inc., a leader in regulated blockchain-based financial infrastructure, have announced a strategic partnership that combines their respective technologies to create an operating framework for broker-dealers to offer tokenized U.S. equities. The collaboration brings together core market capabilities—from issuance and trading to custody, clearing, settlement, and asset servicing—through a single integration, aiming to simplify the adoption of tokenized securities.
By integrating Dinari's dShares technology with tZERO's regulated brokerage, custody, and settlement infrastructure, the partnership intends to provide broker-dealers with a turnkey solution. Each dShare is backed by the corresponding underlying security held with licensed custodians, preserving shareholder rights such as cash dividends, best trade execution at NBBO, automated corporate actions, and a direct claim on the backing securities. Gabriel Otte, Co-Founder and CEO of Dinari, stated that tokenized equities require broker-dealers to offer them as naturally as traditional securities, and that this partnership is designed to enable investors to do more with their stocks.
Alan Konevsky, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of tZERO, emphasized that broker-dealers need regulated infrastructure, operational simplicity, and economic viability to adopt tokenized assets. The collaboration is intended to provide a practical path for firms to participate in tokenized securities markets through a framework combining issuance, trading, custody, clearing, settlement, and asset servicing that bridges traditional and DeFi ecosystems. Key capabilities include native 24/7 trading, fractional execution for dollar-based investing, stablecoin-enabled settlement, automated corporate actions, and flexible custody models such as omnibus accounts and self-custody wallets.
The partnership also supports API connectivity for broker-dealers, fintechs, RIAs, and neobanks, with future plans for compliant on-chain liquidity, financing, and issuer-sponsored dShares programs. This marks a step in Dinari's broader vision for the dShares Financial Network, which aims to connect market participants through a shared framework for tokenized securities. As the network expands, participating firms are expected to benefit from broader distribution, deeper liquidity, and more efficient post-trade workflows.
