Consultwebs Offers Paid Time Off and Stipend for Mammograms in Breast Cancer Awareness Push

Consultwebs, a Raleigh-based digital marketing agency serving law firms, has announced that it will offer all U.S.-based employees a $50 stipend and a half day of paid time off if they receive a mammogram in 2026. The initiative is part of the #EmployersThinkPink campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a partnership with longtime client Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. The move matters because it translates awareness into actionable support, giving employees the time and financial incentive to prioritize a screening that can detect breast cancer early, when treatment is most effective.

Breast cancer remains one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in the United States, affecting both women and men. According to Susan G. Komen, an estimated 321,910 women and 2,670 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2026. The American Cancer Society reports that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetimes. These statistics underscore why routine screenings are critical: early detection can significantly improve outcomes.

The good news is that breast cancer mortality has declined substantially. Susan G. Komen reports that the breast cancer mortality rate among U.S. women decreased by 44 percent from 1989 to 2024, with the decline attributed to improvements in treatment and early detection. However, men can also develop the disease and are sometimes diagnosed at a later stage, making awareness and conversations with health care providers essential for everyone.

Consultwebs joined the Think Pink initiative after learning that Davis, Saperstein & Salomon created the campaign to support one of its case managers who was diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection saved her life, and the firm began offering time off for mammograms as a company benefit. For Consultwebs, following in their footsteps felt like the right thing to do.

"Taking care of our employees means giving them time to take care of themselves," says Magnus Simonarson, president of Consultwebs. "Our goal with this initiative is to prioritize their breast health and raise awareness about the importance of routine screenings for early detection."

Simonarson also emphasized that the relationship with Davis, Saperstein & Salomon goes beyond marketing. "We learn from each other — not only about how we serve our clients, but also about how we operate our companies and support our teams," he says. "Their Think Pink initiative is a great example of how our partnership continues to inspire us in ways that go well beyond the work we do together."
