Comedy Village, the Hell's Kitchen comedy club founded by comedian PJ Landers, will host performances for the 2026 New York Comedy Festival, marking its third consecutive year as a festival venue. The festival runs from November 6-15 across New York City, and Comedy Village's involvement highlights its rising status as a key player in the comedy industry.
The club's decision to participate for a third year signals its staying power in a competitive market. Since relocating to Hell's Kitchen in 2024, Comedy Village has positioned itself near Times Square and Broadway theaters, drawing both tourists and locals. Its two-story venue with separate showrooms offers an intimate setting for stand-up, which aligns with the festival's goal of connecting audiences with comedians up close.
The lineup features a mix of established and emerging talents. Sweet & Sour Chicks Comedy Tour with Kiki Yeung and Esther Ku kicks off on Sunday, November 8 at 7:00 PM. Late for School Starring Jimmy Cash follows on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:00 PM. Samuel Orson performs on Wednesday, November 11 at 7:00 PM, and the Headliner Series with Lance Weiss also takes place that evening. Billie Lee hits the stage on Thursday, November 12 at 7:00 PM, followed by Paige Gallagher at 9:30 PM. Additional shows may be announced, and the schedule is subject to change.
PJ Landers praised festival founder Caroline Hirsch for building the largest and longest-running annual comedy festival in the United States. "We're proud to join the festival for a third year, showcasing the brightest talent on Comedy Village stages this November," Landers said. His comments underscore the festival's role in bridging comedy's biggest names with emerging stars, a dynamic that benefits both audiences and the industry.
For the broader comedy community, Comedy Village's continued partnership with the festival matters because it provides a platform for diverse voices and helps sustain New York City's reputation as the world's comedy capital. The club's central location and state-of-the-art facilities make it an attractive destination for festival-goers, potentially boosting local tourism and nightlife. As the festival grows, venues like Comedy Village play a crucial role in ensuring that comedy remains accessible and vibrant.
