Charbone Unveils 2026-2030 Strategic Plan to Transform into Integrated Industrial Gas Group

Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47) today announced its comprehensive 2026-2030 strategic plan to transform the company into an integrated, global industrial gas group. Building on its foundation in decarbonized Ultra High Purity (UHP) hydrogen, the company aims to expand into UHP gases, specialty gases, and, in North America, UHP industrial atmospheric gases to strengthen recurring revenue and operational efficiency.

The plan positions Charbone as a premium mid-tier player in the industrial gas market, targeting high-growth industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies. These markets require impeccable quality, speed of execution, and security of supply—pillars at the heart of Charbone's strategy.

Charbone's growth will be driven by a two-pillar approach in North America. Pillar A focuses on UHP and specialty gases, including UHP hydrogen (HyChem UHP™), helium, electronic gases, and specialty gases, which offer high margins. Pillar B targets industrial and atmospheric gases, such as oxygen, nitrogen, UHP argon, CO2, and industrial blends, to build a stable revenue base and optimize logistics. This combination aims to increase commercial depth, customer loyalty, and financial resilience, with a focus on strengthening presence in the Northeast and Pacific technology corridor of the U.S.

The company's operating model emphasizes regional hubs and an asset-smart approach. Charbone will continue developing and commissioning the Sorel-Tracy plant in Quebec, which serves as the anchor for North American expansion. The plan includes deploying 6 to 8 regional hubs in North America and internationally to reduce time-to-market, standardize operations, strengthen customer relationships, and optimize logistics costs. This hub-and-spoke model supports growth while maintaining capital discipline.

Internationally, Charbone targets expansion in Europe and Asia-Pacific, with a strategic UHP platform in Germany and an Asian hub in Malaysia for semiconductors and electronics. Expansion will follow an asset-light approach focused on partnerships and structuring contracts.

Dave B. Gagnon, Charbone's Chairman and CEO, stated: "At CHARBONE, we are not changing direction, we are expanding it with discipline. We started with one molecule: clean UHP hydrogen. Today, we are building an integrated platform of high-value industrial gases, tailored to the critical needs of the industries of the future. Our ambition is clear: to become an internationally recognized player known for quality, reliability, and speed of execution."

Charbone's strategic shift comes as demand for high-purity gases surges in advanced technology sectors. By integrating specialty and industrial gases, the company aims to diversify revenue streams and enhance customer loyalty. The plan reflects a pragmatic, results-oriented approach combining innovation, operational excellence, and financial discipline.
