Brown & Hobkirk, PLLC, a Scottsdale law firm, announced that founding attorney and partner Kyle Brown recently attended ALS Arizona's 'Bite Nite' gala fundraising event alongside his wife, Cheree, at the Chateau Luxe in Phoenix. The event brought together top local chefs, supporters, volunteers, and members of the ALS community to raise funds and awareness for the nonprofit organization.
'We recently lost a friend to ALS, and that loss has stayed with us,' Mr. Brown said. 'As a law firm, we are looking for ways to support ALS Arizona's mission and help families who are facing this disease with courage and strength.'
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 34,000 adults in the U.S. are currently living with the disease. ALS Arizona is a nonprofit organization that supports individuals with ALS and their families through care services, education, resource connections, equipment support, community programs, and fundraisers such as Bite Nite.
Brown, who has more than 25 years of experience, focuses his practice on serious personal injury and wrongful death claims as well as estate planning, estate administration, probate, and related matters. In addition to attending Bite Nite, he is helping organize The Alpine Classic Golf Tournament on December 13, 2026, at Eagle Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, to raise funds for ALS Arizona. His involvement in that tournament has led to Brown & Hobkirk working with ALS Arizona, with the firm's attorneys helping individuals and families facing ALS with preparing estate-planning documents. In May, he was invited to present on estate planning as part of ALS Arizona's 'ALS 101' educational series for newly diagnosed individuals and their families.
