Brazil Potash CEO to Speak at IDB Annual Meeting on Global Food Security, Highlighting Autazes Project's Strategic Importance

Brazil Potash Corp. (NYSE-American: GRO) announced that its CEO, Matt Simpson, has been invited to participate as a speaker on a Global Food Security Panel at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Annual Meeting of Governors, scheduled to be held in Asunción, Paraguay. The invitation reflects growing recognition of the company's Autazes Project as a potential contributor to Brazil's fertilizer independence and global food security.

Brazil currently imports over 95% of its potash fertilizer, despite being one of the world's largest agricultural exporters and possessing what is anticipated to be one of the world's largest undeveloped potash basins. The Autazes Project aims to address this vulnerability by developing a domestic potash supply. With an initial planned annual production of up to 2.4 million tons, the project could supply approximately 20% of Brazil's current potash demand. The potash will be transported primarily using low-cost river barges in partnership with Amaggi, one of Brazil's largest farmers and logistical operators.

The IDB Annual Meeting is a major international development finance gathering, bringing together representatives from member nations, multilateral institutions, and global investors. Simpson's participation on the Global Food Security Panel highlights the intersection of agricultural productivity, sustainable development, and investment opportunities in Latin America. The panel will explore strategies to enhance food security amid global supply chain challenges and climate change.

Brazil Potash's management emphasizes that 100% of the production will be sold domestically, reducing Brazil's reliance on imports while concurrently mitigating approximately 1.4 million tons per year of greenhouse gas emissions. The project aligns with broader efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and reduce the carbon footprint of fertilizer production and transportation.
