Blue Cap AG, a Munich-based investment company, has announced a significant change to its Management Board. Dr Henning von Kottwitz, Chairman of the Management Board, will leave the company at the end of 8 October 2026, by mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board expressed its gratitude for his service and commitment. The transition comes as Blue Cap AG positions itself for further development, building on transactions implemented in recent years under Dr von Kottwitz's leadership.
Effective 9 October 2026, the Supervisory Board has resolved to second its Chairman, Dr Christian Diekmann, to the Management Board as a member pursuant to Section 105(2) of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG). He will be responsible for strategy and finance. Henning Eschweiler will remain a member of the Management Board as COO, continuing to oversee operational portfolio management, and will also assume responsibility for M&A from 9 October 2026. Dr Diekmann has been Chairman of Blue Cap AG's Supervisory Board since 2024 and brings extensive experience in operational restructuring and management of medium-sized corporate groups, having served as CEO of Max Automation SE and CFO of Zertus Group.
The leadership change is important because it ensures continuity and strategic direction for Blue Cap AG, which focuses on acquiring medium-sized B2B companies in special situations and supporting their development for later profitable sale. Dr Diekmann's deep knowledge of Blue Cap as Supervisory Board Chairman and his operational expertise are expected to drive the company's Buy-Transform-Sell strategy forward. In a statement, Dr Michael Schieble, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said, "We are very pleased that Dr Christian Diekmann has agreed to drive the further development of Blue Cap AG's business model as a member of the Management Board in the near term and take it to the next level." Dr Diekmann added, "Blue Cap AG is ideally positioned as an investor in 'special situations' to grow in the current economic environment. Many companies that are fundamentally well positioned for the future are increasingly affected by disruptions in industry and structural challenges. We aim to address these challenges through our business model, strengthen Germany as an industrial location and create value for our shareholders."
The announcement, originally released via NEWMEDIAWIRE, underscores Blue Cap's commitment to its investment approach. The company currently holds majority stakes in six portfolio companies operating in plastics engineering, production engineering, pre-press solutions, life sciences, and business services. With around 2,000 employees across Germany, Europe, North America, and Asia, Blue Cap is a significant player in the medium-sized business sector. Its shares are traded on the Open Market in Frankfurt and Munich. For more details, the original release is available on www.newmediawire.com.
