Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is surprising fans with an additional fall offering, the 'Tidal Wave' collection, a limited-time bonus lineup that builds on the earlier 'Maple, Spice & Everything Nice Badass' seasonal menu. Available from October 28 through December 1, 2025, at participating U.S. locations while supplies last, the collection features two drinks: the returning Dirty Pumpkin Chai and a new Iced Dirty Pumpkin Chai Lava.
The Dirty Pumpkin Chai combines spiced chai, creamy pumpkin, and a shot of espresso, served hot or iced, priced at $6.95 for a medium. The Iced Dirty Pumpkin Chai Lava adds a layer of rich, velvety cold foam dusted with cinnamon, offering a smooth, textured twist on the classic. According to the company, cold foam is trending, and this lava-topped drink gives the fall favorite a contemporary edge.
'Dropping a Tidal Wave lineup mid-season is both a flavor move and a strategic one,' said Iain Douglas, Chief Brand Officer at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii. 'It keeps the menu fresh, gives fans something new to crave, and ensures our guests have a chance to continue fulfilling their pumpkin craving, the badass way.'
This bonus lineup follows the announcement of the brand's fall LTO and is designed to maintain customer interest during the season. The company notes that pumpkin remains a seasonal favorite, but layered textures like lava cold foam are gaining popularity in the coffee industry. By offering both a traditional and an updated version of the same drink, Bad Ass Coffee aims to cater to different preferences while capitalizing on the cold foam trend.
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, founded in 1989 on the Big Island, has nearly 40 U.S. franchise locations open, with plans for 14 additional stores by the end of 2025 and 63 more in development. The brand emphasizes Hawaiian coffee and culture, and this seasonal promotion aligns with its strategy of blending bold flavors with island roots.
