AZIO AI Holdings (NASDAQ: AZIO) announced a power purchase and hosting agreement with Power Champion Investment Limited at its Atlas One compute infrastructure campus in South Texas, establishing an initial contracted capacity of 10 megawatts (MW) with expansion rights up to 50 MW. The deal, reported by NEWMEDIAWIRE, represents the first hosting contract at the 548-acre campus, which is designed for up to 500 MW of planned power capacity. Under the agreement, AZIO AI will provide power, leased facility space, interconnectivity, and hosting services for artificial intelligence (AI) computing equipment.
The initial 10 MW capacity is expected to generate approximately $1.5 million in monthly capacity reservation charges, totaling $90 million over the five-year initial term, excluding electricity sales and additional services. If fully expanded to 50 MW, the contract could yield approximately $450 million in capacity reservation charges over the same period. This potential value underscores the growing demand for power-intensive AI computing infrastructure and positions AZIO AI as a key player in the data center hosting market.
However, the agreement is subject to several conditions. No capacity has yet been energized under the new agreement, and expansion beyond the initial 10 MW has not been exercised. Service commencement remains subject to infrastructure development, required U.S. export control approvals, and other contractual conditions. Approximately 11 MW has been secured to date at Atlas One, including 6 MW currently activated, indicating that the campus is still in the early stages of development.
The deal matters because it validates AZIO AI's strategy of developing behind-the-meter, power-backed campuses in Texas to support high-compute workloads. As AI models grow more complex, the need for specialized data center capacity with reliable power sources is escalating. By securing a major hosting client, AZIO AI demonstrates that its Atlas One campus can attract customers even before full build-out. The agreement also highlights the company's transition from its previous incarnation as Envirotech Vehicles, Inc. to a technology infrastructure firm focused on AI data centers and enterprise GPU compute.
For investors, the potential $450 million contract value signals significant revenue potential if expansion milestones are met. However, the forward-looking nature of the deal, with no capacity yet energized and expansion contingent on infrastructure improvements, introduces execution risks. The company's ability to secure additional customers and financing will be critical to realizing the full 500 MW vision for Atlas One. The news comes amid heightened interest in AI infrastructure, where power availability and data center capacity are becoming key competitive differentiators.
