Angkor Resources Identifies New Gold Target on Andong Meas License in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) has identified a new gold target, named CZ Gold, on the west side of the Canada Wall prospect within the Andong Meas exploration license in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. The target was discovered through physical workings from a tunnel excavated by artisanal miners, revealing a quartz stockwork with an apparent thickness of 30 meters and a northwest strike.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, noted that historical drilling in 2012 did not intersect the quartz stockwork zone but cored into an alaskite-type granite with abundant miarolytic cavities and thick bands of 'bucky' quartz. While these rock types do not host gold deposits themselves, they are frequently found near gold deposits. The team reviewed all prospects during the rainy season, leading to this identification.

The company plans to conduct a surface trenching and sampling program in the first quarter of 2026 to determine the setting and orientation of the quartz stockwork, followed by a diamond drill program. Additionally, Angkor acknowledged a restart in the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia in the northwest quadrant of Cambodia, which has led to evacuations and school closures near the border. Although the company's oil project Block VIII is in the far south and the Andong Meas license is far to the east, management is carefully monitoring the Andong Bor license and has placed activities there on hold until further notice.

Angkor Resources Corp. is a leading resource optimizer in Cambodia, with mineral and energy operations in both Cambodia and Canada. Its mineral subsidiary holds two exploration licenses in Cambodia, while its energy subsidiary holds an onshore oil and gas license. The company also has oil and gas production in Saskatchewan, Canada, with a focus on carbon capture and gas conservation.
