Angkor Resources Commences Diamond Drilling at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) announced today the initiation of a 2,800-meter diamond drilling program at its Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia. The program, which began June 24, 2026, will focus on the Thmei North target, a one-square-kilometer copper anomaly identified through previous exploration.

The drilling is staged around Cambodia's seasonal weather patterns. The first phase comprises three 400-meter holes, totaling 1,200 meters, to be completed during the current dry season. The remaining 1,600 meters are scheduled for early 2027, after the fields dry and crops are harvested. The three initial holes will be drilled eastward to better intersect mineralized beds, based on insights from the 2025 drilling campaign that revealed north-northwest striking, steeply west-dipping structures controlling mineralization.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, explained the rationale: "Our 2025 drilling told us how this system is oriented. The structures controlling mineralization are north-northwest striking and steeply west dipping, so by drilling to the east we put the core across the mineralized beds rather than down them. The best copper sits in the potassic-altered sediments next to the feldspar porphyry diorite dikes, and an eastward orientation lets us cut the most of that favorable host as we pass in and out of the intrusive dikes."

Core from the drilling will be logged, photographed, and sampled, with selected intervals sent for assay as the program progresses. The Andong Bor license covers 100.28 square kilometers across Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces. In this modified copper porphyry model, the best mineralization occurs within potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes that range from meters to tens of meters in width.

Beyond Thmei North, the company plans further work at Thmei South, which requires additional auger soil geochemistry to extend the copper anomaly southward and determine its full extent. Thmei South will be the focus of subsequent drill programs.

Angkor Resources is a leading resource explorer and developer in Cambodia, holding two mineral exploration licenses with multiple copper and gold prospects. The company also has an onshore oil and gas license through its subsidiary EnerCam Resources Co., Ltd., covering approximately 4,095 km² in Block VIII. EnerCam completed 2D seismic in 2025 and has identified multiple drill targets, with an Environmental Impact Assessment submitted for approval to the Ministry of Environment.
