Andina Copper Corporation (TSX-V: ANDC | FSE: FIR | OTCQB: PMMCF) has announced significant results from drillhole CDH007 at its Cobrasco Project in Chocó, Colombia, further expanding the copper-molybdenum porphyry system to the northwest. The step-out hole, drilled from a new pad approximately 400 meters northwest of previous drilling, returned 292 meters grading 0.48% copper, 62 ppm molybdenum, and 1.7 g/t silver from a depth of 44 meters, confirming continuous near-surface mineralization that mirrors the high-grade intercepts reported in nearby hole CDH006.
CDH007 was the second hole from the new pad, drilled to the northeast on a section line parallel to earlier holes CDH001 and CDH004. Mineralization begins at surface, with subdued grades in saprolite to 48 meters, then transitions to strongly fractured rhyolitic porphyry with continuous moderate to high grades. The intercept includes high-grade magmatic breccia intervals between 254-284 meters and 292-324 meters, where assays exceed 1% copper. The mineralized zone terminates at a fault at 324 meters, below which grades drop off in dacitic-andesitic and granodiorite intrusions.
The current drilling has defined a mineralized footprint of approximately 1,000 meters by 500 meters, which remains open in all directions. Two additional step-out holes from the same pad, CDH008 (completed) and CDH009 (in progress), have intersected extensive visible mineralization, with assays pending. A second drill rig is being mobilized to target high-grade intervals and test further extensions.

QAQC protocols include core logging, sampling at 2-meter intervals, and analysis by ALS Laboratories in Medellin and Lima, using standard fire assay and multi-element methods.
