Alcanza Clinical Research Acquires CNS Healthcare to Expand Neuroscience Trial Network

Alcanza Clinical Research today announced the acquisition of CNS Healthcare, an independent clinical research network with a 30-year legacy in neuroscience and behavioral health. The deal adds five locations across Memphis, TN; Jacksonville and Orlando, FL; and a mobile clinical trial vehicle to Alcanza's growing network, which now includes over 30 dedicated research units and integrated specialty clinic sites throughout the continental US and Puerto Rico.

CNS Healthcare, founded in 1996, has completed thousands of clinical trials and built a reputation for high-quality data and patient-centric care. Under CEO Dan Kearney, the organization expanded its capabilities and industry partnerships. “We are truly excited to join the Alcanza team. Their commitment to inclusiveness in all that they do ties into how we, at CNS Healthcare, have operated for over 30 years,” Kearney said.

The acquisition aligns with Alcanza’s mission of “Clinical Research for All™,” which focuses on bringing trial opportunities to underrepresented communities. Carlos Orantes, CEO of Alcanza, noted, “Working alongside high-performing clinical research organizations continues to be a key focus for Alcanza. We are pleased to welcome CNS Healthcare and its outstanding team to our growing site network.”

By integrating CNS Healthcare, Alcanza enhances its capacity for multispecialty studies, particularly in neuroscience and behavioral health, while expanding access for diverse patient populations. The combined network supports studies across all trial phases and major therapeutic areas, leveraging the expertise of experienced principal investigators and research professionals.

This strategic move underscores the importance of high-performing clinical research sites in delivering quality study execution and inclusive patient engagement. As Alcanza continues to grow, the acquisition of CNS Healthcare positions the company to better serve global sponsors and community participants alike.
