Advanced Glazings Ltd., a global leader in high-performance translucent glazing, will hold a public open house on March 27, 2026, to mark the residential debut of Solera Reserve™, its most advanced daylighting solution. The event, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM EST at a Midtown Savannah residence, will showcase one of the first completed Solera Reserve™ installations worldwide, offering architects, builders, and media a firsthand look at how the material transforms light, privacy, and comfort in a real home.
Solera Reserve™ applies the same daylighting principles that have made Advanced Glazings’ Solera® technology a staple in museums, galleries, and cultural landmarks. Positioned between clear and opaque materials, it diffuses sunlight, minimizes glare, and delivers uniform, full-spectrum illumination without sacrificing privacy. The Savannah installation is particularly relevant given the region’s intense sun, heat, and glare, conditions Dr. Doug Milburn, Founder and Chairman of Advanced Glazings, says the product is designed to address. “Solera® doesn’t fight sunlight or block it; it harnesses it,” Milburn said in the announcement.
The product offers high Light Diffusion Power, thermal efficiency to reduce solar heat gain and HVAC demand, acoustic performance, durable all-glass construction, and design flexibility including custom sizes, shapes, colors, and frit patterns. It can be used alongside vision glass to create interiors that feel open yet private without blinds or shades.
The open house will include refreshments, a presentation by Milburn, and a guided tour. Attendees can RSVP by emailing AdvancedGlazings@PhillComm.Global. For more information, visit www.advancedglazings.com.
