The 6 Stones Community Powered Revitalization (CPR) Fall Blitz, held Oct. 16-17, demonstrated the power of collective action as neighbors, volunteers, businesses, churches, and community partners joined with the cities of Euless, Hurst, and Grapevine to repair homes and strengthen neighborhoods. The event paired exterior home repairs with a shared commitment to caring for the community, addressing a critical need for homeowners facing financial or physical barriers to maintaining their properties.
CPR connects homeowners who struggle with exterior maintenance—due to repair costs or physical demands—with volunteers, skilled professionals, and resources to complete necessary work. By coordinating volunteer service, professional expertise, and sponsorship, the program creates a pathway to address repairs that might otherwise go unaddressed. This approach not only preserves homes but also fosters relationships among neighbors and instills a sense of shared responsibility for the places they call home.
The impact of the Fall Blitz extends beyond the immediate repairs. Maintaining a home can become overwhelming when costs or physical limitations exceed a homeowner's resources, and programs like CPR offer a vital safety net. The collaboration among diverse stakeholders—from local churches and businesses to city governments and school districts—underscores the importance of community-driven solutions to neighborhood challenges. The event also provided an opportunity for volunteers to build connections and take part in caring for their community.
6 Stones expressed gratitude to every volunteer who contributed time and care to the Fall Blitz, along with the sponsors and partners whose participation made the event possible. The organization also recognized participating homeowners as partners in the shared work. Sponsors and partners included 121 Community Church; 323 Capital; Aprende Business Coaching; Atmos Energy; Bank of America; Bell; Bloomfield Homes; Central Bible Church; City of Euless; City of Hurst; City of Grapevine; Classic Chevrolet; Dalworth Restoration; DFW Plastics, Inc.; First Hurst; Freedom Church; HEB Rotary; Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District; Integris; Joe Hall Roofing; KBKG; Republic Services; Republic Tire & Supply; RS Americas; Smith Lawn and Tree; Star Wellness; Stately Designs; Sunbelt Rentals; The Home Depot Foundation; and the cities of Bedford, Euless, and Grapevine.
