The 35th Education & Careers Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will take place from 22 to 25 January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, which is free and open to the public, brings together over 860 organizations from 23 countries and regions, offering information on further studies and career opportunities.
This year's expo introduces an upgraded "CV Clinic" with new services including Personal Colour Analysis, 16 Personality Types Magic Quiz, one-to-one consultations, and an Aptitude Test Ready Station. These services aim to help job seekers understand their strengths and plan career paths more effectively. The clinic will offer six services, including CV consultations and professional portrait photography by Jobsdb, as well as career consultations by MT20 Consulting Limited.
Smilely Lam, Assistant Executive Director of HKTDC, said the expo's theme, "Go with Your Passion, Go Beyond Limits," aligns with social development and market needs. The four themed days cover Civil Servants & Public Services, Next Gen Technologies, Healthcare & Wellness, and Greater Bay Area Opportunities. Lam noted the expo supports Hong Kong's status as an international education hub and provides a platform for recruitment.
The "Education" section features zones for local and overseas studies, lifelong learning, and youth. Highlights include the SOPHIE 8x solar car developed by the Vocational Training Council, and the Hong Kong Institute of Construction's AI Tower Crane Simulator. New application-oriented programs in robotics and automation engineering will also be showcased.
Over 30 government departments and public organizations will participate in the "Careers" zone, including the Civil Service Bureau, Education Bureau, and various disciplined services. The "Recruitment Square" will offer onsite interviews for direct job applications.
More than 100 activities will feature industry experts, including singer-songwriter Serrini, film directors, and radio DJ "Ah Jeng." The expo also includes sessions on Greater Bay Area entrepreneurship by Calvin Tse, and a sharing by Angela Stanton, first runner-up at Miss Hong Kong 2025.
