2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé Joins DFW Car & Toy Museum Collection

The DFW Car & Toy Museum has added a 2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé to its Ron Sturgeon Collection, offering visitors a rare glimpse of a modern automotive masterpiece. Finished in blue over Creme Light leather with navy accents, this handcrafted vehicle represents the height of open-top motoring from one of the world's most prestigious marques.

Under the hood lies a naturally aspirated 6.75-liter V12 engine producing 453 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The factory air-sprung suspension with automatic load leveling ensures a ride quality befitting a Rolls-Royce. With just 10,000 miles on the odometer, this example is exceptionally preserved, showcasing British craftsmanship at its finest.

The Phantom Drophead Coupé's luxury is evident in its details. Rear-hinged coach doors open to a cabin adorned with Creme Light leather, Navy Blue inserts, and embroidered headrests. A cashmere-blend headliner, sisal floor mats, and hidden umbrellas in each A-pillar exemplify the bespoke experience. The dashboard features a rotating infotainment screen with navigation, a Lexicon Logic7 premium sound system, and a lockable drawer with coded access. Classic Rolls-Royce instrumentation includes a power reserve meter, a signature touch reminding drivers of the effortless performance in reserve.

“The Phantom Drophead Coupé wasn't built to chase trends,” said Ron Sturgeon, founder of the DFW Car & Toy Museum. “It was built to redefine them. This car is a rolling statement of what it means to travel with presence, grace, and absolute serenity.”

The museum, now located at 2550 McMillan Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas, offers free parking and admission. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Visitors can explore this exceptional vehicle and other exhibits at the museum, which also provides secure climate-controlled car storage and event facilities.
