15th Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference Concludes with Over 2,300 Participants and 11 MoUs, Highlighting Industry Collaboration and Innovation

The 15th Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC), organized by the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), concluded successfully after two days at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event brought together over 80 industry leaders from shipping, aviation, logistics, and supply chain sectors, attracting more than 2,300 participants from over 40 countries and regions. This year's conference facilitated nearly 400 business matching meetings and resulted in the signing of 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) across aviation, logistics, shipping, and technology sectors. Notably, the HKTDC and Greater Bay Airlines signed an MoU to deepen collaboration and enhance Hong Kong's status as a global trade and tourism destination.

The conference, themed "Collaboration and Growth in the New Trade Landscape," featured more than 20 thematic sessions and workshops focusing on supply chain diversification, emerging markets, sustainability, green energy, and innovation. Industry experts addressed challenges such as geopolitical tensions, shifting tariffs, and supply chain disruptions. Brian Bourke, Global Chief Commercial Officer of SEKO Logistics, emphasized the critical role of partnerships in navigating disruption, stating, "Partnerships are critical, if not more so today than ever before." Henri Le Gouis, Executive Vice President of GEODIS, highlighted the need for rapid decision-making and selecting partners that can find solutions during difficult times.

Sustainability was a key focus, with a "Green Energy Forum" discussing innovative technologies to reduce carbon footprints and achieve net-zero goals. James Laybourn of DNV Energy Systems noted the complexity of prioritizing fuel options for the energy transition. The conference also dedicated a session to the low-altitude economy, exploring how cargo drones can revolutionize air logistics. Bobby Healy of Manna Drone Delivery pointed out regulatory challenges, while Kenny Lau of S.F. Express emphasized the need for resource sharing and standard frameworks in the Greater Bay Area.

Other sessions included a digital workshop on implementing AI in supply chains and a youth empowerment workshop to attract new talent. The ALMAC exhibition featured over 90 exhibitors, including a new Low-altitude Economy zone showcasing advanced logistics technology. The Hong Kong's NextGen Logistician Award Presentation Ceremony 2025 recognized young talents in innovative and sustainable logistics, with awards presented by Under Secretary for Transport Liu Chun-san.

The conference underscored Hong Kong's role as a hub for logistics and trade, fostering collaboration to address global challenges and drive industry growth. For more details, visit the HKTDC website at www.hktdc.com/aboutus.
